Important information for your arrival and stay

Below, you will find an overview with all information about how to get to our apartments, the check-in /-out and current regulations in the context of the corona pandemic.

The health of our guests, our employees and the population are our top priority. In the travel industry, the situation currently changes daily. The most current information on COVID-19 can be found on the RKI page: www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/N/Neuartiges_Coronavirus/Risikogebiete_neu.html as well as in the continously updated Hamburg Corona Regulation: www.hamburg.de/verordnung/

Due to the current regulations of the federal government, from November 2nd, 2020 until early 2021 (regulations are being updated constantly), guests will only be allowed to stay in our apartments if the overnight stay is necessary and not for tourist reasons. It is also required that you send us your contact details before arrival (in addition to the registration form on site).

Contactless check-in/-out

CHECK-IN (from 3 pm)
Check-in is very simple and completely contactless.

CHECK OUT (until 11 am)
When you leave, please put the apartment key in the box “Box für Rückgabe” (return box) in the hallway.

    1. Get the code by mail

    You will receive a 4-digit number code from us.

    2. Take the key out of the key box

    Enter the code at the key box at the house entrance and take your key (pls check the number on the key). You can use the key to open both, the front door and your apartment door.

    3. Unlock the apartment and fill out the registration form

    In your apartment, please fill out the registration form provided and put it in the “Box für Rückgabe” (return box) in the hallway.

Arriving by car

If you arrive by car, parking nearby is usually no problem. There are no dedicated parking spaces that belong to the accommodation, but there are numerous alternatives, such as:

  • Public parking spaces directly in front of the house (these are chargeable during the day from Monday to Saturday)
  • Public parking spaces in the surrounding streets (free of charge)
  • Parking garage of the “Hamburger Meile” shopping center a few hundred meters away (costs 3,50€ / day; https://www.hamburger-meile.com/das-center/anfahrtparken/anfahrt/)

Arriving by train

Our apartments are very easy to reach from Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). When you arrive at the central station south, you can take the subway line U3 (yellow) in the direction of Wandsbek-Gartenstadt and get off 6 stops later at “Dehnhaide” (9 min. journey). From there take the exit in the direction of Hamburger Straße, which leads you directly to the entrance of the apartments (1 minute walk).

Arriving by plane

When arriving by plane, there are various transport options available. Hamburg has a city-airport, which is located close to the city center and also well connected. Here are the main transport options:

  • Subway (S-/U-Bahn): The entrance to the S-Bahn can be easily reached on foot from Terminal 1 and 2. From there you take the S1 (green line) towards Wedel. At the station “Barmbek”, change to the U3 (yellow line) towards Hauptbahnhof Süd-Schlump. Get off at the station “Dehnhaide” and take the exit towards Hamburger Straße. The entrance to the apartments is right there
  • Taxi: In front of the exits of the arrival deck you will find two taxi queues. A taxi ride to the apartment costs between EUR 20-25. Alternatively, taxis can also be (pre) ordered from your mobile phone with the FreeNow app with different tariff options at your disposal (Link to the app: https://free-now.com/de/download/)
  • MOIA: The MOIAs are a new ride sharing concept from VW, which you can request via the app of the same name. The easily recognisable MOIA minivans transport several passengers at the same time. Prices are calculated according to occupancy, but are typically cheaper than taxis (approx. 5-15 EUR p.p.)

    Our Dehnhaide apartments are located in the hip quarter of Barmbek Süd, right nex to the subway station “Dehnhaide” (yellow line).
